I know acoholic is and he gigs. I'm sure he'll chime in here. I have some Genalex reissues I like in the JTM. Did try KTs in the prototype and liked them, but the TRIWATTs first gig was with 6V6 s. :D

Yeah, I am not unhappy with the tone I am getting from my NOS RCA 6V6's,I just can't stop thinking about new and different tones to try.You know the sickness I speak of!

Have also tried the Shuagang KT66 matched pair btw, and they were very good to.

I have the Genelex reissue Gold Lions (same as coco) and LOVE them! I tried a set of Shuagang's but they break up earlier and are not as "clean" sounding - I am going to use them in my JTM45.

I have not tried the 6v6s though, so I dont know how to compare.

The Gold LIon KT66's sound so damn good I dont want to use anything else!

I feel the same about the 6V6's. They really sound good and I'm not sure I need a change, it's just, you know ,I can't stop fiddling with everthing I own!

I understand... I am in the process of trying various 12AX7s and EL84's in my Trinity 15's and 18 watter... but for some reason I am so happy with the Triwatt and the KT66's, other than trying a different set (the Shuagangs) I decided to keep them in there.

SOme day I will try the 6V6's I guess... but not just yet.

I have gigged the Tri quite a few times. Have gotten some great responses from some other players who happened to be in the bar. They always say the tonew is really easy to hear over the rest of the band, and very balanced in terms of mids/bass/treble.
