Hey guys, I've just started my tweed build and I've reached an impasse.

Quick summary, ive just wired the power transformer and went to check voltages with no tubes in. I'm getting 0 volts at the green heater wires and 0.09v across pins 4and6 on the recto.

Also to note, I'm getting 120v across the lugs of the power switch when it is in both the off and the on position.

Here is a list of the other readings I've taken.
120v across mains, 120 mains neutral/fuse

1.22v across linz 2/8 of the recto

To eliminate possibilities, I disconnected the heater wires from the pilot assembly so the readings are direct off the PT. They are showing 0v and 0.1ohm to ground

I'm getting 0.09V across pins 4/6 on the recto
I'm getting 62ohms pins 4 or 6 to ground.

As of now only the mains ground is to ground and the green/yellow and red/yellow wires off the PT are to ground.

I checked continuity at every lug/connection to ground and they all came up OL (except those notes earlier)
And 0.1 ohm from each star ground to chassis

Any help where I should look next would be greatly appreciated!!

(Note, the black/white and red/yellow wires you see going to V4 are snips off the transformer that I used for heater wiring, which for the purpose of trouble shooting, have been disconnected at pilot)

PT primary connected this way? Ignoring the schematic diagram...following the Layout

BLACK & WHITE Tied to IEC Neutral
BLACK-RED & WHITE-RED To switched side of power switch

Not used black-white and white-black insulated and tied off

Fuse in should have 120 between IEC Neutral and switched side when turned on. 0 when off.

It was bugging me that I had 120v across the power switch whether it was on or off so I did some digging around and saw that some switches were sold as standby switches and some as power switches.
Turns out I had to physically switch the powerand standby switches. Once I did that all the voltages came alive.

Thanks for taking time to respond so quickly

Then I guess you werent using Trinity Carling switches?

I used the 2 shipped with the kit. On my meter one showed 0 ohms in the on position and OL in the off.

The other shows OL in both positions

Now I am getting 745v across pins 4 and 6
6.3 across the heaters

5.8 volts across 2 and 8 with the standby switch up
10.3 volts across 2 and 8 with standby switch down

Is it possible I let it get a little too hot when soldering the first time around?
