After i received my kit, went to work and got to stuffing the board. Being a hard-headed fella of Germanic descent, failed to thoroughly read the instructions. This was due to the fact that I had built some AX84 projects,Firefly, and AVA stereo kits. Wrong.
So as a result desoldering and redoing connections was needed. However, power resistors and caps were very possibly damaged. Have purchased power resistors from AES, but was wondering if their 16uF @ 475V were acceptable substitutes for 450V caps supplied.
Also, is the 22 and 20 AWG wire w/ PTFE insulation sold by APEX Jr. acceptable to use in the Tweed build.
PS Love the kit, lurked and downloaded support docs, then pulled the trigger. Kit is really well packaged and documented.
