Does anyone know how to mount Transformers (Power, Output, Choke to the chassis?

I have a TDS 15 Watt kit (Power, Output, Choke) to mount on my TC-15 chassis.

Needless to say, the holes do not line up (from the transformers to the chassis), so what do I do?

Drill holes in the chassis to match the Transformer holes?
Find mounting hardware to mount the transformer to the chassis?

Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tye

Drill new holes and mount the iron, use #8 hardware. Carefully mark and centre punch your holes. Drill with good quality drill bits and a drill press if you can.

Orient your transformers the same way as Trinity to avoid magnetic coupling and added noise.

That is helpful, but one more clarifying question.

I do not see a diagram that details where the Power Transformer, Output Transformer, and choke go.

I assume that the Power Transformer goes in the square where the 8 is below:

But is the Output transformer mounted on it's side?

Where does the Choke go?

Does anyone have a diagram for the placement of these so I do not have the magnetic coupling & noise?

Thanks for your help,
Tye

The pic you posted is of the PT, not the OT. The OT mounts upright using two mounting holes.

See the #8 in the middle of the chassis with the arrow just beside it, those two holes are the OT mounting holes.

The TC-15 does not use a choke.

Go look at pics of some completed TC-15s for ideas of where everything goes.

You're using TDS transformers so all bets are off - it is very good iron though.

You can put the power transformer where the square hole is. The OT location is the question. I would guess it would work where our OT fits but that's no guarantee. Ideally, you need to test hte location first see below called the "Transformer Headphone Trick"

From the AX84.com FAQ:

"First set up the power transformer. If it's not installed yet, all the better, but if it is, this will still help. If the PT is not installed, wire up the primaries to a power cord, but do not wire up any secondaries-- tape the ends of the secondaries. If the PT is installed, fine, just make sure there is no circuit on any of the secondary leads (pull all tubes, and disconnect leads and tape them as necessary).

Now set up the signal transformer (output, reverb, whatever). Hook one set of OT secondaries (your choice, but I usually go from ground to the highest impedance tap, don't worry about impedance matching here!) to a set of headphones. Tape the primary leads.

Put the headphones on, plug in the power cord, and start moving the signal transformer around. Try it all over the chassis, and also rotate it. While you might expect the least hum with the transformers as far from each other as possible and at right angles (and that may be the case for you), it might come at an odd angle and/or position. Sometimes the least hum occurs when the transformers are side by side. When you find the quietest spot, use a permanent marker to mark where the mounting holes should be."

The choke can go between them but as kurtlives said, the TC15 doesnt use a choke.
